In the heart of cities, in parks and deserted streets, a modern tribe gathers: skateboarders. This diverse and vibrant community is not just a group of people playing a sport, but a cohesive collection of individuals united by a shared passion.

Skateboarders are distinguished by their ability to transform any urban space into a playground. But beyond the stunts and challenges, there is a deep culture of solidarity and mutual respect. Every skater, regardless of skill level, is welcomed as a member of a large family.

Their community building happens organically. They gather spontaneously at strategic points in the city, often considered legendary “spots,” where they exchange techniques, motivate each other and celebrate each member's achievements. This spirit of sharing is palpable: a new trick learned by one is immediately taught to others, creating a virtuous circle of collective growth.

But it is not just the board that unites them. The skateboard community is a microcosm of cultural diversity, lifestyles and personal stories. Each meeting becomes an opportunity to meet new people, to compare notes, and to grow not only as skaters but also as individuals.

The photographs in this project aim to capture the essence of this community: the grit in faces, the determination in movements, and the joy of camaraderie. Each image tells a story of inclusion, friendship, and a passion that transcends social and cultural barriers.

In an often fragmented world, skateboarders show us what it truly means to belong to something bigger than oneself. They are living proof that sharing and collaboration can build unbreakable bonds, one trick at a time.
